2026 FEATURED NFL INSTRUCTORS:
Lance Smith is a former NFL offensive lineman who played 12 years in the NFL! He was born in New York City, but grew up in North Carolina. He was a standout high school player and committed to Louisiana State University to play collegiately. During his 4 years at LSU, Lance was twice named a 1st-team All-SEC performer (1982 & 1984) and a 1st-team All-American in 1984! He was drafted in the 3rd round (72nd overall) by the St. Louis Cardinals. Over the next 9 seasons, Lance was a strong, steady presence along the Cardinals offensive line. He spent the last three years of his career with the New York Giants before retiring from the NFL in 1996. Overall, he played in 182 NFL games and started 165 of them! Lance was a camp instructor with us from 2016-2018 and we can’t wait to have him back in 2026!
Chip Vaughn is a former NFL Safety who played for the New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts & Carolina Panthers during his 4-year NFL career. Chip played collegiately at Wake Forest University, where he was a standout safety for the Demon Deacans. He would go on to be drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the 4th round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He was on the Saints Super Bowl Winning team that year! Over the next 3 years, he played for three other NFL teams before turning to coaching in 2014. As a coach, Chip has held positions at the Air Force Academy (2018-2019), the New York Jets (2020-2021), the University of Illinois (2022), Morgan State University (2024), and Shaw University (2025) as the defensive coordinator. 2026 will be Chip’s first season coaching at our camps!
