There’s no time of year more exciting for players and families than the NFL Draft. Over several days, families everywhere stay glued to their TVs late into the night, watching to see who will be selected and eagerly waiting to find out where their favorite college stars will begin their professional careers.
At Sports International Football Camps, we take pride in helping players develop and grow at every stage of their journey. Through programs like our All Positions Camp, Lineman Academy, and Passing & Receiving Academy, we stay connected to players’ progress and encourage them to become the best athletes they can be. That’s why we’re especially proud to reflect on the 17 former campers who have gone on to be selected in the NFL Draft, an incredible achievement.
Take Justin Fields, a former Ohio State standout. Fields attended our camp in 2010 and was later selected 11th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. He now continues his professional career in the NFL.
Or consider Julio Jones, who was drafted 6th overall in 2011 by the Atlanta Falcons and has since built a Hall of Fame–caliber career. His journey is a great example of what’s possible with hard work and dedication.
Another great example is LaDainian Tomlinson, who was the 5th overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft out of Texas Christian University. Tomlinson attended our camps in the 1990s and even returned to host our Texas All Positions Camp after his playing career. The Hall of Famer is widely regarded as one of the greatest running backs in NFL history.
Sports International Football Camps is committed to complete player development. At camps like our All Positions Camp Featuring the Jets and Giants in New Jersey, our coaching staff provides high-level instruction through intense practices, skill development sessions, and even career-focused panels designed to help players reach their goals both on and off the field.
Some of our earliest campers have gone on to achieve incredible success as well. Byron Leftwich attended camp in the early 1990s and went on to be drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He played quarterback in the NFL for a decade and has since continued his career as an NFL coach.
