From the Super Bowl to the Sidelines

It’s no secret that the “2016 throwback” trend has been popping up all over social media. From galaxy leggings and Pokémon Go to viral moments that instantly bring you back, that year left a lasting impression. For sports fans especially, 2016 delivered some unforgettable moments. Between the Rio Olympics, the Chicago Cubs finally breaking their 108-year championship drought, and Super Bowl 50.

Fast forward to 2026, and that Super Bowl energy feels even more personal for us at Sports International Football Camps. With the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots taking center stage, this year’s matchup directly connects to the teams behind many of our camps. From Washington to Massachusetts, these organizations are known for preparation, toughness, and attention to detail. Those are the same values we focus on every summer. It is one thing to watch elite football on Sunday. It is another to step onto the field and learn from coaches and players who have actually competed at the highest level.

This summer, campers have the chance to train with some of the same pro-level instructors who made last year unforgettable, giving them a direct connection to the game they watch on Super Bowl Sunday. Last summer at UMass Dartmouth, campers experienced exactly that. Former New England Patriots players like Cole Strange, Ja’Whaun Bentley, and DeMario Douglas brought their pro-level knowledge straight to the practice field, working closely with campers and sharing what it truly takes to succeed. In the trenches, Super Bowl champion Jarvis Green and longtime NFL lineman Max Lane lead our Lineman Academy, helping offensive and defensive linemen sharpen their technique, footwork, and overall approach to the game. Campers also learned from former NFL quarterback Seneca Wallace, who is the head coach for the Passing, Receiving, and DB Academy, focusing on timing, decision-making, and playing at game speed. It was a summer filled with hands-on instruction and moments that campers will remember long after camp ended.

Out west at our Seattle Camps, that same high level of instruction continued with coaches tied directly to Seahawks football. Leading the way is Marcus Trufant, a Seahawks legend and 2008 Pro Bowl cornerback who brings years of NFL experience and a championship mindset to every drill. In recent years, campers have also worked with current NFL players like Josh Jobe, known for his speed and coverage skills in the secondary, and Anthony Bradford, a powerful offensive lineman who has made an impact on Seattle’s offensive line. Campers gain insight not only into position-specific skills, but also into how professionals prepare, train, and compete every day.

As we look ahead to camp this year, the excitement continues to build. With Super Bowl storylines that we have personal connections with, this summer is shaping up to be something special. Between the NFL-level coaching, the competitive environment, and the chance to learn from players who have been there, Sports International Football Camps offer an experience that goes far beyond watching the game. We cannot wait to get back on the field and make this summer another unforgettable one.
