As the leaves fall and the season shifts into full stride, Thanksgiving offers us a perfect moment to pause and to recognize the many reasons we’re thankful at our camps. On one of the sport’s most iconic days, the Dallas Cowboys host their annual Thanksgiving game, and we’re proud to host three of our youth camps just north of Dallas at the University of North Texas. It’s a special connection between tradition on the field and the growth we see in every camper.
Family, Tradition & Teamwork
Thanksgiving isn’t just about turkey and break‑away runs; it’s about the people around you. Just as families gather around the table, our campers come together in huddles, in drills, in personal breakthroughs. We’re thankful for each young athlete who shows up with energy, each coach who brings encouragement, and each parent who trusts us to guide their player.
When the Cowboys take the field, they do so knowing that tradition, unity and teamwork matter. We bring that same spirit to our camp environment.
Growth On and Off the Field
This year’s camp season has been full of wins beyond the scoreboard: campers mastering technique, developing confidence, forming friendships with teammates and staff, and even bridging cultures as we welcomed groups from Mexico and China. We’re thankful for the global reach of the game, and for the opportunity to see football serve as a bridge across continents.
As the Cowboys battle on Thanksgiving, we’re reminded that every snap, every block, every jump‑cut has parallels in life: preparation, perseverance and gratitude.
Train Where the Pros Train
For young athletes looking to follow in the footsteps of their heroes, there’s no better place to train than at the Dallas Cowboys Camp. Campers get the unique opportunity to learn from experienced coaches and experience the same facilities that NFL players use. You can learn more and register for this exciting camp here.
Looking Ahead with Thanks
As we gather with family and friends this season, we want to thank you, the campers, coaches, families and supporters, for being part of the journey. Because of you, our camps are more than training: they’re community.
If you’ll be watching the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, tip your hat to the traditions behind the game, and know that the same values we bring to camp guide that Thursday night’s kickoff. And if you’re thinking ahead to next summer (or next season), we’re already thankful for what’s to come
From Our Camp Family to Yours
Wishing you a Thanksgiving filled with joy, gratitude, and maybe a few awesome highlight plays. Thank you for being part of our camp family.
