Darrell Taylor - Player Profile

PLAYER PROFILE:

Darrell Taylor is a defensive end for the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League. Darrell attended the University of Tennessee in college and played for the Volunteers for five years. During his 5-year collegiate career, Darrell totaled 118 tackles, 19.5 sacks, 6 forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries in 38 games. During his redshirt Senior season, Darrell was named on the Chuck Bednarik award watchlist as the top defensive player in the Nation. Darrell would ultimately finish his Senior season tied for second in sacks in the SEC and would go down as one of the best defensive players in Tennesse history. After graduating from Tennessee, Darrell declared for the 2020 NFL draft, where he was selected in the second round by the Seattle Seahawks. After missing his rookie year with an injury, Darrell fought back and had a tremendous Sophomore campaign. During his second season, Darrell accumulated 38 tackles, 6.5 sacks and a forced fumble in 16 games. He followed that up by posting even better numbers in his third year! He recorded 26 tackles, 9.5 sacks, 4 forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in 2022! It's safe to say that Darrell is a budding superstar for a strong Seahawks squad, and we can't wait to see what he does next season!
