PLAYER PROFILE:
Ashtyn Davis is an NFL safety who has spent the last three seasons playing for the New York Jets. Ashtyn attended the university of California-Berkeley where he initially joined the track and field team as a walk-on. He ended up trying out for the football team his freshman year and impressed the coaches with his speed and athleticism. By his sophomore year, he was starting at cornerback and became a huge piece of their secondary. After his sophomore year, he transitioned to the safety position, where he thrived and was selected as a first team All-Pac-12 conference performer during his Junior and Senior seasons. After college, Ashtyn declared for the 2020 NFL Draft, where he was selected in the third round by the New York Jets. In the 2021 NFL season, Ashtyn became a mainstay for the Jets and combined for 62 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 interceptions. He followed that up by recording another interception in 2022 and becoming one of their strongest special teams' players.
