New Camp Headliners Announced!

Sports International is pleased to announce new headliners for the 2011 camp season. Kris Jenkins of the New York Jets and Terrell Thomas of the New York Giants will co headline our Wayne, New Jersey camp location. Baltimore Raven, Derrick Mason, will headline the Westminster, MD four day camp. Le'Ron McClain of the Baltimore Ravens will headline a new two day football camp in Towson, Maryland. And, San Diego Charger Eric Weddle, will host a day camp in Norwalk, CA

 

Kris Jenkins Highlights:

  •  Playing college football for the Maryland Terrapins, he was a three-year starter, earning second team All-ACC recognition as a senior, logging eight sacks and 18 quarterback pressures to go with 62 tackles.
  • In 2003 with Carolina, he helped the Panthers on their way to Super Bowl XXXVIII. In one game against Tampa Bay, Jenkins blocked two kicks: a field goal attempt by Martin Gramatica, and an extra point attempt that would have won the game.
  • A member of the Jets since the 2008 season, Kris Jenkins is a 3-Time All-Pro selection (2002, 2003, 2008), 4-Time Pro Bowl defensive tackle (2002, 2003, 2006, 2008) for the New York Jets and is widely considered one of the most dominant players in the game.
  •  

Terrell Thomas Highlights:

  •  Thomas attended Rancho Cucamonga High School, where he was selected to the 2002 Super Prep All-American team, All CIF Division II first team, Tom Lemming All-West, LA Times All-Inland Empire First Team and Press Telegram's Best in the West First Team.
  • Was voted Second-team All-Pac-10 at USC in 2006 and 2007, and in his senior year he had 57 passes thrown his way, allowing only 17 catches for 149 yards and one touchdown. On average he gave up 8.76 yards per catch and gave up an outstanding 2.61 yards per pass attempt.
  • In 2009, Thomas started all 16 games at right cornerback. That year, he led the Giants in tackles (101, 67 solo), interceptions (5) and passes defensed (16).
  • In 2010, he had 1 sack, 4 forced fumbles, and led the Giants with 101 tackles and 4 interceptions.

 Derrick Mason Highlights:

  •  A two-time Pro Bowl performer (2000 and 2003), his 924 career receptions rank 12th in NFL history.
  • Mason owns the top three reception seasons in Ravens franchise history and has also posted four of his eight career 1,000-yard campaigns in Baltimore. His 5,777 receiving yards during his Ravens career are also the most in franchise history.
  • Mason is the only player in NFL history to produce at least 5,000 total return yards and 11,000 receiving yards.
  • Among active players, Mason leads the league for the most consecutive seasons with 60-plus catches, having produced 11 straight, and he is the NFL's fourth-leading player in receptions and receiving yards since 2000.

 Le'Ron McClain Highlights:

  • As a senior at Alabama, McClain led the Crimson Tide to 3,310 rushing yards over his final two years.
  •  In 2008, he led the Ravens with career highs in every category, with 232 rushing attempts for 902 yards and 10 touchdowns, and earned his first trip to the Pro Bowl.
  •  In 2009, McClain earned his second Pro Bowl nod after playing in all 16 games, including 14 starts, helping clear the way for the Ravens to rush for 2,200 yards and 22 touchdowns.
  •  In a January 2010 Wild Card playoff game against New England, he helped pave the way for the Ravens to rush for a postseason-franchise record 234 yards and four touchdowns in their 33-14 victory over the Patriots.

Eric Weddle Highlights:

  •  Playing college football at Utah, Weddle was named second-team All-America as a junior and first-team All-America as a senior.
  • Is the only player in Utah and Mountain West Conference history to score touchdowns passing, rushing, on an interception return and fumble recovery in a career, which he did in the 2006 season alone.
  • Recorded his first career interception in a 2007 game against Houston, and got his first career interception for a touchdown in a 2009 game against Miami.
  • Led the Chargers with 96 total tackles during the 2010 season, including a career-high 16 tackles in a game against the Bengals.
