Professional Players Head to Camp
Monday, April 25, 2011

At our football camps Sports International offers its campers the unique opportunity to learn from professional football players. They get right in the huddle with our campers and teach them the same offensive and defensive techniques they learned in the pros. Sports International would like to highlight some of the professional football players that are going to be attending the camps this summer.

The Lawyer Milloy camp in Tacoma, WA at Pacific University, June 28th - July 1st welcomes, Seattle Seahawk, Marshawn Lynch, to the camp. As the running back for the Seattle Seahawks, Lynch has many highlights in his career. He was named Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year in 2006 and MVP of the Las Vegas Bowl in 2005.

For the Dallas Cowboys camp in Denton at the University of North Texas held on July 13th -16th, Sports International has confirmed players Sean Lee, Bill Bates, and Nate Newton. Lee was drafted by the Cowboys in 2010 and is their current linebacker. Bates, a former safety for the Cowboys, spent his entire career of 14 years with the Dallas Cowboys and is a three-time Super Bowl champion.  Newton, another former Cowboy, played offensive lineman and is also a three-time Super Bowl champion.

It has also been confirmed that current Baltimore Ravens players, Ben Grubbs, offensive guard, and safety Haruki Nakamura will be attending our camp in Westminster, MD held at McDaniel College from July 6th - 9th.  The Baltimore Ravens drafted Grubbs during the first round in the 2007 NFL Draft. . Nakamura was selected to the First-team All Big East for his football prowess at the University of Cincinnati. Also attending is cornerback Ladarius Webb. Webb is actually the first player in NCAA Division I history to receive the conference awards of Offensive Player of the Week, Defensive Player of the Week, and Special Teams Player of the Week in one season.

At our San Diego Chargers camp held at San Diego University from July 6th - 9th, we will have current running back, Darren Sproles, and current cornerback, Quentin Jammer. Sproles has received the Thomas A. Simone Award  and was named one of the 50 Greatest Chargers in their franchise history. In 2009, he also had the most all-purpose yardage in a playoff game.

In addition to our headliner Jonathan Stewart for our Carolina Panthers camp at Queens University of Charlotte from June 16th - 19th, we will have current Panther's safety, Charles Godfrey, attending the camp.  One of his career highlights is being part of the Second-team All Big Ten. Also attending the camp this year will be Brad Hoover, former Panthers fullback and camp veteran. Hoover became the second rookie in Panthers team history to post a 100-yard game.

Stay tuned for next month's SI Blitz that will highlight more professional players that will be attending camp, or you can check us out on Facebook and Twitter for continual updates on our summer camps.
